The Paralympics 2016 Welcomes St Cedd’s School!
St Cedd’s School have been lucky enough to receive an exclusive insight into the Paralympic Games in Brazil. Mr Ian Mollard, the father of one of our pupils, is a Venue Producer and has been in Rio for the course of the Games this summer.
We were fortunate enough to be able to send questions to Mr Mollard, and he has sent us back an exciting video with his responses, which included a behind-the-scenes tour of Carioca Arena 1, the venue for Wheelchair Rugby.
This has been a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to gain a special look into the Paralympic Games, and it is in line with our current theme of ‘Seize the Day’, where children have already been embracing the phenomenal examples of this during both the Olympics and Paralympic Games.
We would like to thank Mr Mollard for giving the school this brilliant opportunity, and we look forward to learning more about the Paralympics when he returns (and maybe trying out a Gringo Samba of our own!).
