St Cedd’s School Raise Over £500 for The Children’s Trust
Pupils at St Cedd’s School recently swapped their uniform for music-themed costumes and clothing in aid of charity, raising £505.69 for The Children’s Trust.
The non uniform day, that both children and staff participated in, was a great success and a wonderful way to celebrate music which is an integral part of St Cedd’s School, an independent preparatory school for children aged 3-11 in New London Road, Chelmsford.
“The School Council chose to support The Children’s Trust this year as we wanted to help a new cause and we feel passionately about the difference their music therapy makes to children with brain injuries,” says Mrs Sarah Khechimi, Charities Co-ordinator at St Cedd’s School.
Maureen Bridger, Community Fundraising Manager at The Children’s Trust for Essex, says, “We are extremely grateful to St Cedd’s School for their donation and for getting involved in The Extraordinary Music Box Appeal – to help fund music therapy for children with brain injury. It looked like a wonderful day and what a fantastic idea to get the children to dress up with a music theme. The generosity of our supporters never fails to amaze us and is greatly appreciated!”
